Even funnier than this, the Republican plan being circulated around Congress calls for suspending capital gains tax for 2 years to allow companies to sell these "toxic assets" without penalties. Unfortunately since they will continue to lose value, suspending the capital gains tax won't benefit them. On the other hand the rich's golden parachutes wont be leaded by taxes. Everybody wants to screw the taxpayer over in their own way.
